Achoo is an app that assists with monitoring your health and the health of those close to you.

At its core, Achoo checks in with you daily with a notification that contains options for you to quickly record your symptoms with. Your symptoms are then stored for you to reference the next time you are with your Doctor or otherwise.

In addition, you can invite your family and friends through Achoos Connections feature to keep updated with their health and the app will intelligently notify you when one of your Connections is unwell.

Achoo also offers a Heat Map feature to monitor potentially contagious areas within your neighborhood. Once enabled, you will also begin to receive notifications when you are close to or within a contagious area, keeping you informed as you move about your day.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can I disable my location and still use the app?
Yes! In fact, your location is disabled by default and is only required if you want to use the Heat Map feature.

2. How is my information protected?
The information sent by your device is encrypted on our database provided by Googles Firebase service. Furthermore, all information collected is anonymous by default as every user is assigned a unique random identifier, making it impossible to identify one user from the next.

3. If I add my family in Achoo, will they know what my symptoms are?
Nope! When you add a Connection, they will only see whether you have been feeling well or unwell.

4. Achoo notified me that I have some possible conditions. How accurate is this?
The Possible Conditions reporting feature is an experimental feature designed to assist you with being proactive about your health. With the feature being experimental, the accuracy varies and cannot be confidently discerned yet until more data is collected; in other words, the more you use Achoo, the more accurate its features should become over time. Note that this feature is not a diagnostic tool and you should always consult with a Doctor for a proper diagnosis.
